The type of Application Form and a list of documents required for submission of such application are provided under each category of entitled persons. A brief description of the processing of the application is also given below :
Categories
- Foreign Ladies Married to Pakistani Nationals.
- Commonwealth Citizens who Transfer Rs.5/- Million worth of Foreign Exchange.
- Persons holding Naturalization Certificate issued under the Naturalization Act, 1926 (Sec. 9 of PCA 1951).
- Minor Children (below 21 years of Age) of Pakistan Citizen.
(i) Foreign Ladies Married to Pakistani Nationals: Section 10(2) of PCA 1951
(Read with Rules 14,15 & 16 of Pakistan Citizenship Rules, 1952)
(Following documents are required other than those mentioned in the form.)
- Prescribed application form ‘F’ (in quadruplicate)
- An affidavit on Rs.20/- non judicial stamp paper from the applicant regarding/mentioning detailed facts of the case, duly attested by notary public or magistrate.
- A similar affidavit from the husband on Rs.20/- non judicial stamp paper.
- An Affidavit duly supported by documentary evidence about her aggregate stay in Pakistan for a period of 05 years.
- Photocopies of relevant pages of applicant’s foreign passport.
- Photocopies of residential permit/visa.
- Photocopy of marriage certificate.
- Photocopy of domicile certificate of the applicant (in case of applicant is other than Commonwealth Citizen).
- List of close-relations residing abroad.
- Photocopies of Pakistan Citizenship Certificate or any other evidence establishing the husband’s citizenship of Pakistan.
- 25 color photographs with light blue background size 4 X 4.5 cm. One attested on front and one on back by notary public/magistrate.
- Photocopies of valid national identity card of the husband.
- Note: All of above mentioned documents may be attested by notary public/magistrate except the photographs which have to be attested in a specified manner.
- Bank challan of prescribed amounts Rs.200/-.
- Oath of allegiance taken before 1st Class Magistrate (in case the applicant is a citizen other than Commonwealth countries).
- Two certificates from two different 1st Class Government Officers confirming the national status of the applicant’s husband. Such certificates must also indicate the date and place of birth of the applicant’s husband and his income.
- Applications form can either be submitted to Directorate General Immigration & Passports Islamabad, its Zonal offices i.e Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Quetta or to the Federal Government (i.e. Ministry of Interior).
(ii) Commonwealth Citizens who Transfer Rs.5/- Million worth of Foreign Exchange: Section 20 of PCA 1951
(Read with Rule 20 of Pakistan Citizenship Rules, 1952)
(Following documents are required other than those mentioned in the form)
- Application on Form ‘R’ duly attested by the mission (in quadruplicate) is to be submitted to the Directorate General Immigration & Passports, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad, through Pakistan’s mission abroad.
- 10 color Photographs with light blue background size 4 X 4.5 cm. One attested on front and one on back by notary public/magistrate.
- Original Bank Proceeds Certificate regarding transfer of Rs.05/- Million to Pakistan through normal banking channel.
- Photocopy of present Passport.
- Fee of Rs.200/- (Rs.800/- for Indian National).
After confirmation regarding Foreign Exchange worth Rs. 05/- Million from the State Bank of Pakistan, Immigrant Visa for Pakistan will be issued. Pakistan Citizenship certificate will be issued after arrival in Pakistan, subject to security clearance / completion of all codal formalities.
(iii) Persons holding Naturalization Certificate issued under the Naturalization Act, 1926: (Section 9 of Pakistan Citizenship Act 1951)
(Read with Rule 13 of Pakistan Citizenship Rules, 1952)
(Following documents are required other than those mentioned in the form.)
- Application on Form ‘E’ duly attested by notary public/magistrate (in quadruplicate) to be submitted in Directorate General of Immigration & Passports or Federal Government (i.e. Ministry of Interior).
- Certificate of Naturalization under NA 1926.
- Certificate that applicant has taken the oath of allegiance to the Constitution of Pakistan within prescribed period under Section 6 of NA 1926.
- Fee amounting to Rs.400/-.
- Affidavit on Rs.20/- Stamp Paper regarding/mentioning facts of the case.
- 10 color Photographs with light blue background size 4 X 4.5 cm. One attested on front and one on back by notary public/magistrate.
(iv) Minor Children (below 21 years of Age) of Pakistan Citizen: Section 11 of Pakistan Citizenship Act, 1951
(Read with Rule 17 of Pakistan Citizenship Rules, 1952)
(Following documents are required other than those mentioned in the form.)
- Application on Form ‘M’ (in quadruplicate) form Pakistani Parents/Guardians.
- Four photographs.
- Affidavit from Pakistani Parents/Guardian regarding fact of the case.
- Documentary evidence proving the national status of Parents/Guardians as Citizen of Pakistan.
- Fee of Rs.200.
- Application form can either be submitted direct to Directorate General Immigration & Passports Islamabad or its Zonal offices i.e Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Quetta or to the Federal Government (i.e. Ministry of Interior).
