Interim Reflief During Pandemic of COVID-19:

  • During the pandemic period of COVID-19, as an interim relief Manual Extension upto one year of expired passports, has been allowed in Pakistan Missions abroad and in Pakistan to facilitate Pakistanis for their travel and for getting visas (FY 2019-2020).
  • Coordination and facilitation with MOFA and Pakistan Missions Abroad for repatriation of stranded Overseas Pakistanis during the pandemic COVID (FY 2019-2020).

    Machine Readable Visa:

    The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports has successfully launched the system of issuing Machine Readable Visa to foreign nationals at Islamabad (DGI&P's Headquarter), Lahore (Garden Town), Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi (Saddar). The MRV system has been deployed within the Regional Passport Offices at Provincial Capitals in Pakistan.
